What is PPD?

This is the 21st century. All the people are running behind the money because now a days the money plays a big role in every one's life. So the people realize the importance of money and they are trying day by day to improve their knowledge to earn a lot of money. So now the competition between the people are very higher and it will be more in future. 

Everybody wants to realize that they want to do some different efforts to highlight them in the society and must to prove their strength in their fields to separate a special place for them in the society. For these kinds of reasons all the Universities around the world are showing a great effort to improve the personal progress of every students.The Universities of Srilanka also playing a big role to improve the personal progress development of the students who are the next generations of our country. So what is the personal progress development (PPD)? How the the universities work on it to build it as a successful and compulsory section? What are the advantages from the PPD sections?

WHAT IS PPD?

Personal progress development (PPD) means creating opportunities to think through a structured way. A Personal progress development File is a collection of documents which records your progress and it also have many internal and external activities. It encourages you to focus on your skills as a learner and to take responsibility for your own skill development.

How the universities work on it to build it as a successful and compulsory section?  

The universities works a lot to standardize the PPD sections every year. Because of the need of this section. If we take the universities of Srilanka especially the University of Kelaniya they play a kind of part to build this section as a successful section among the students such as,

§For every courses they keep this PPD as a compulsory section

§To get a degree from the University the students must pass the PPD section is compulsory.

§The administration of the University appoints a well qualified lecturers for PPD.

§So many individual activities like presentations, preparing a Journal, creating the Blogs, games etc. and group activities like presentations, games, and other interesting segments to make the students involve in this PPD section.

Not only this, there are a lot efforts apart from them are doing by the kelaniya University it plays a superb role to make it as a much important section. All other Universities also have those kind of efforts for PPD sections because of the need of the Personal progress development of the students.
